Every Pulse Top 15 Countdown in 2025

Hello! I've been working on something for the past few weeks, a Pulse Top 15 database that includes every song to make The Pulse Top 15 in 2025. I also have my own formula to calculate what the biggest song of the year is. The formula is the same as the one on Crownnote. I hope you find time to poke around and see what the top songs of the year are from my calculations!

To get started, just click the image.

Myles Smith & Lainey Wilson (1) The Pulse Top 15 - Week of August 9nd, 2025

And so we meet again. Hello everyone, How are y'all doing? I am looking for segments to add to this blog, and if you have any ideas, let me know in the comments. I plan on adding a stats page in the coming days, so watch out for that. Finally, I will add the top 5 songs on Mediabase Hot AC that weren't picked up, in addition to CHR/Pop. Onto the countdown!

But before we officially start, let's see what our three exits are:

Doechii - Anxiety [#12] {9w} Peak: 6 ; Year End: 31 (wild card)
Max McNown - A Lot More Free [#5] {17w} Peak: 2 ; Year End: 10
Alex Warren - Ordinary [#2] {22w} Peak: 2 ; Year End: 8

Top 15

15. Rob Thomas - Hard To Be Happy [Debut] (after 2 weeks Bubbling Under)
14. Billie Eilish - Wildflower [Debut] (after 4 weeks Bubbling Under)
13. Justin Bieber - Daisies [Debut] (after 3 weeks Bubbling Under)
12. Fitz & The Tantrums - Man On The Moon [+1] {3w} Peak: 12*
11. Sabrina Carpenter - Manchild [==] {7w} Peak: 8
10. The Head & The Heart - Arrow [==] {4w} Peak: 7
09. Morgan Wallen feat. Tate McRae - What I Want [==] {8w} Peak: 9
08. Jonas Brothers - No Time To Talk [==] {4w} Peak: 8
07. sombr - undressed [==] {9w} Peak: 7
06. Alex Warren feat. Rosé - On My Mind [==] {3w} Peak: 6
05. Benson Boone - Sorry, I'm Here For Someone Else [-4] {19w} 6w @ #1
04. Lewis Capaldi - Survive [+10] {2w} Peak: 4*
03. Ed Sheeran feat. Arijit Singh - Sapphire [+12] {2w} Peak: 3*
02. Benson Boone - Mystical Magical [+2] {4w} Peak: 2*
01.
Myles Smith feat. Lainey Wilson - Nice To Meet You [+2] {4w} 1w @ #1

Biggest five songs on Mediabase CHR/Pop that The Pulse haven't played yet:

SZA feat. Kendrick Lamar - 30 for 30 [#10]
Jessie Murph - Blue Strips [#11]
charli xcx - party 4 u [#14]
Tate McRae - revolving door
[#15]
KPop Demon Hunters Cast - Golden
[#17]

Biggest five songs on Mediabase Hot AC that The Pulse haven't played yet:

Sarah Reeves - Cloud Nine [#19]
Billy Idol feat. Avril Lavigne - 77 [#21]
Harper Grace feat. Kelsey Hart - Freedom [#24]
Russell Dickerson - Happen To Me [#25]
Jessie Murph - Blue Strips [#29]

We have three debuts this week. Let's get through them:

Rob Thomas debuts with Hard To Be Happy. It's been a while since we've heard from him, and this is a pretty great song for him to return with. It's a summer song I wanted, and Rob sounds great as always. Let's see this do well!

Justin Bieber debuts with Daisies. This grew on me a lot compared to when I first heard this. It is slightly slow, but the production is very pretty and Justin sounds great as always. Again, I would love to see this do well on this countdown.

We must pause to say About Damn Time to our next debut: Wildflower by Billie Eilish. This went recurrent on Pop months ago, and it's not like this is a rap song or anything. For some reason, The Pulse isn't even late themselves. Hot AC's chart currently has Wildflower at #20 right now and it's rising from there. Okay, I guess they were too busy playing Shinedown for way too long to bother with this song. But anyways, I'm so glad they finally played this. This is one of my favorites from Hit Me Hard And Soft; It's absolutely beautiful, Billie sounds great, and the production is amazing. Take this to #1!

Now Playing

OneRepublic - Beautiful Colors (2)

Belle Tatum - Boyfriend (1)

Alex Warren - Eternity (1)

John K - Never Been In Love (1)

Maroon 5 - All Night (1)

We have four songs getting played for the first time! Let's start off with John K's new song Never Been In Love which is now playing after Honey left in early June, and didn't do that well. Never Been In Love is decent, but it's nothing special. Still, John K sounds good and the production is pretty good.

Maroon 5 is here with All Night after Priceless is expected to miss the top 30 of the year. They also didn't take long to play this as Priceless left on July 12th. I really liked this at first but it faded on me slightly since. I still like this much more than Priceless, but it's not AMAZING or anything...

One of my favorite artists right now, Alex Warren, is seeking to go back to having two songs on the countdown simultaneously, as Ordinary debuted and stalled in the top 5 never to reach #1 (I'll talk about this later). Later, On My Mind debuted, and today, Ordinary left, 3 weeks into On My Mind's run. So we'll see how long it takes Alex Warren to replace himself on the countdown, or if On My Mind will even last long enough to have two songs at the same time. For the song itself, This isn't my favorite off the album You'll Be Alright Kid, but I still enjoy it. I hope to see this debut and do well on the countdown.

Finally we have Hot AC plant artist Belle Tatum with a song called Boyfriend. This sounds like a diet Busy Woman, but I love Busy Woman so I love this too. I hope to see this debut and do well on both The Pulse Top 15 and Mediabase Hot AC.

Hard To Be Blurbing

We are gathered here today to mourn the departure of Ordinary by Alex Warren, which graced our countdown for 23 weeks, peaking at #2. You entered the chart at #14, and from there you only took 5 weeks to hit the top 6. For a moment, it seemed you might reach #1, but fate — and Brady’s button pressing — had other plans.

You leave behind a legacy of playing around in the top 6 the entire time once you got there, and multiple times you crept your way up to #2 before Brady made you fall down to #6. You would then climb up again, then Brady made you fall down to #4. Then a third time you tried to hit #1, but instead Brady forgot about you altogether and never let you see the chart of August 9th. May you rest peacefully in the great airwaves beyond, alongside other fallen hits like Sailor Song by Gigi Perez. And may your streams stay high, even if your spins have faded.

Farewell, dear Ordinary, you were gone too soon, but never forgotten.

And so we meet again. Hello everyone, How are y'all doing? I changed my blog name, So if you have this blog in your sidebar, feel free to update it when you can. Anyways, School starts for me this Monday and for some reason I'm excited for it. Anyways, time to see the order of the buttons Brady pressed to play music for us.

But before we officially start, let's see what our two exits are:

Ravyn Lenae - Love Me Not [#11] {3w} Peak: 11 ; Year End: #86 (miss)
Ed Sheeran - Azizam [#2] {12w} Peak: 2 ; Year End: #12

Top 15

15. Ed Sheeran feat. Arijit Singh - Sapphire [Debut] (after 3 weeks bubbling under)
14. Lewis Capaldi - Survive [Debut] (after 5 weeks bubbling under)
13. Fitz & The Tantrums - Man On The Moon [+1] {2w} Peak: 13*
12. Doechii - Anxiety [-6] {9w} Peak: 6
11. Sabrina Carpenter - Manchild [-3] {6w} Peak: 8
10. The Head & The Heart - Arrow [-3] {3w} Peak: 7
09. Morgan Wallen feat. Tate McRae - What I Want [+1] {7w} Peak: 9*
08. Jonas Brothers - No Time To Talk [+4] {3w} Peak: 8*
07. sombr - undressed [+2] {8w} Peak: 7*
06. Alex Warren feat. Rosé - On My Mind [+9] {2w} Peak: 6*
05. Max McNown - A Lot More Free [-2] {17w} Peak: 2
04. Benson Boone - Mystical Magical [+1] {3w} Peak: 4*
03. Myles Smith feat. Lainey Wilson - Nice To Meet You [+10] {3w} Peak: 3*
02. Alex Warren - Ordinary [+2] {22w} Peak: 2 (will this EVER hit #1??)
01. Benson Boone - Sorry, I'm Here For Someone Else [==] {18w} 6w @ #1

Biggest five songs on Mediabase that The Pulse haven't played yet:

SZA feat. Kendrick Lamar - 30 for 30 [#9]
Jessie Murph - Blue Strips [#11]
Charli XCX - party 4 u [#14]
Tate McRae - Revolving Door [#15]
Drake - Nokia [#17]

We have two debuts this week. Let's get through them:

Ed Sheeran gets his second song on the countdown at the same time with Sapphire, a collaboration with Arijit Singh. I liked this much more beforehand but now, It's honestly just alright. I wonder what this will honestly do.

I think I can finally say I like Lewis Capaldi, I'm sorry. I know he sounds like an amalgamation of a dying chicken, a dying goat, a dying sheep, a dying alpaca, a dying llama, a dying polar bear, a dying cow, a dying pig, a dying snake, a dying salmon, a dying goose, a dying turkey, a dying donkey, a dying horse, a dying mule, a dying rabbit, a dying quail, a dying guinea fowl, a dying yak, a dying water buffalo, a dying camel, a dying ostrich, a dying emu, a dying pigeon, a dying cat, a dying dog, a dying deer, a dying elk, a dying tilapia, a dying trout, a dying catfish, a dying bullfrog, a dying silkworm, a dying pheasant, a dying zebu, a dying miniature horse, a dying banteng, a dying red deer, a dying peafowl, a dying swine, a dying capybara, a dying chinchilla, a dying duck, a dying suffolk sheep, and a dying ayrshire cow. And that's when he doesn't sound like a broken pencil sharpener. Or a broken dentist drill. But hey, Survive is fairly upbeat, and that's a plus for him. Here's the thing: People really like Lose Control, but I don't see what sets that song apart from many Lewis Capaldi songs. Lose Control is about as upbeat as Before You Go, and The Door is about as upbeat as Forget Me. I like Teddy Swims, and therefore I also like Lewis Capaldi. I probably didn't need to right 7 sentences to say that, but you get that anyways.

Bubbling Under

Justin Bieber - Daisies (3)

Billie Eilish - Wildflower (4)

Rob Thomas - Hard To Be Happy (2)

OneRepublic - Beautiful Colors (Debut)

OneRepublic is back with Beautiful Colors. Hopefully this grows on me.

Baby You're On My Blurb

Yep, I was right to lose confidence on Azizam hitting #1. It's literally #1 in airplay this week, but instead let's give the song #8 in airplay the #1 spot yet again, because why not, right??

Rest In Piece to Love Me Not. It only had one week to be the purple song, so sad. This means Sabrina Carpenter gets the purple song of the week, something I never would've expected.

This countdown had so much more movement than I would've expected. Manchild and Arrow dropped 3 spots for no reason, and Anxiety dropped 6 spots for no reason. However, I'm kind of glad Anxiety is falling, I'm starting to really hate it like I should've months ago.

On My Mind and Nice To Meet You made the biggest jumps since Pink Pony Club jumped 11 spots in March. Okay, then.

A few songs grew on me, including No Time To Talk. Hopefully this can do well.

I'll have more to say next week, but for now, I have to take my My great-great-grandfather’s barber’s wife’s sister’s husband’s childhood neighbor’s mailman’s stepdaughter’s ex-boyfriend’s aunt’s yoga instructor’s goldfish’s previous owner’s dentist’s cousin’s college roommate to a dance class. byeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

And so we meet again. Hello everyone, How are y'all doing? School starts for me in a week from this Monday, which I'm oddly looking forward to. Hope y'all are well, and let's see what The Pulse Top 15 has in store for us today.

But before we officially start, let's see what our two exits are:

mgk - cliché [#11] {4w} Peak: 11 ; Year End: 75 (miss)
Shinedown - 365 [#5] {21w} 9w @ #1 ; Year End: 1 (yep, you read that right)

Top 15

15. Alex Warren feat. Rosé - On My Mind [Debut] (after 4 weeks bubbling under)
14. Fitz & The Tantrums - Man On The Moon [Debut] (after 3 weeks bubbling under)
13. Myles Smith feat. Lainey Wilson - Nice To Meet You [+1] {2w} Peak: 13*
12. Jonas Brothers - No Time To Talk [+3] {2w} Peak: 12*
11. Ravyn Lenae - Love Me Not [+2] {3w} Peak: 11*
10. Morgan Wallen feat. Tate McRae - What I Want [+2] {6w} Peak: 10*
09. sombr - undressed [+1] {7w} Peak: 9*
08. Sabrina Carpenter - Manchild [+1] {5w} Peak: 8*
07. The Head & The Heart - Arrow [+1] {2w} Peak: 7*
06. Doechii - Anxiety [+1] {8w} Peak: 6*
05. Benson Boone - Mystical Magical [+1] {2w} Peak: 5*
04. Alex Warren - Ordinary [+2] {21w} Peak: 2 (will this EVER hit #1??)
03. Max McNown - A Lot More Free [==] {16w} Peak: 2
02. Ed Sheeran - Azizam [+2] {12w} Peak: 2
01. Benson Boone - Sorry, I'm Here For Someone Else [==] {17w} 5w @ #1

Biggest five songs on Mediabase that The Pulse haven't played yet:

SZA feat. Kendrick Lamar - 30 for 30 [#9]
Jessie Murph - Blue Strips [#11]
Drake - Nokia [#12]
Charli XCX - party 4 u [#16]
Tate McRae - Revolving Door [#17]

We have two debuts this week. Let's get through them:

First up: Alex Warren gets his 3rd song of the year (after Burning Down and Ordinary) with his collab with Rose, On My Mind, which is #15 this week. This is nice, It shrunk on me a little bit, but I still like it. It's a little slow even for me but it's really nice and Alex and Rose both sound great.

Fitz & The Tantrums debut for the first time since 2023 and are here now with Man On The Moon. This is something Ethan would love, but something I only find good. It's not special but it's good enough.

Bubbling Under

Billie Eilish - Wildflower (3)

Lewis Capaldi - Survive (5)

Ed Sheeran feat. Arijit Singh - Sapphire (3)

Justin Bieber - Daisies (2)

Rob Thomas - Hard To Be Happy (Debut)

Rob Thomas is back with Hard To Be Happy. This is the summer song we needed, but unfortunately this won't do anything outside Hot AC. :(

No Longer Bubbling Under

Mariah Carey - Type Dangerous (5)

Mariah Carey's comeback single "Type Dangerous" dropped from being played for 5 weeks. This was pretty good, but not anything special in my opinion. It seems adequate to make it drop out without debuting.

Sorry, I'm Blurbing For Someone Else

Well, Shinedown FINALLY left after 21 weeks. But Unless something late in the year drops that The Pulse will eat up, Shinedown is on track to have the #1 song of 2025. Yes, you read that right.

I'm starting to lose confidence that A Lot More Free, Ordinary, nor Azizam will ever reach #1. All three entered the top 6 since May 17th and never left since, and each one made it to #2 at least once but then fell from there.

Sadly, Cliche fell out without doing anything. Rest in piece.

That means I have a new Purple song, Love Me Not. I love this song so much, so I'm glad it got a chance to be the Purple song.

Since Shinedown left, Ordinary is now the sole oldest song (it was previously tied with 365), and it needs 3 more weeks here to become the longest running song of 2025.

I'll have more to say next week, but for now, byeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Drake - Nokia
 [#10]
Jessie Murph - Blue Strips [#12]
Charli XCX - party 4 u [#16]
Tate McRae - Revolving Door [#18]

Blurb Me Not

We had FOUR debuts this week, Something I don't think has happened in 2025 until now.

It's about time Nice To Meet You debuted. It's been a hit for a while.

No Time To Talk and Mystical Magical they were decently early on. No Time To Talk is good, not great, while Mystical Magical IS great.

Side note: Mystical Magical has the highest debut I believe I've seen in 2025.

Finally for the song people haven't heard (most likely). The Head & The Heart return with Arrow. I like this. The band sounds great and the production is really cool.

Manchild jumped 5 spots to #9, because of course it did.

and Benson Boone gets a fourth week at #1.

Bubbling Under

Lewis Capaldi - Survive (3)

Fitz & The Tantrums - Man On The Moon (3)

Alex Warren feat. Rosé - On My Mind (4)

Billie Eilish - Wildflower (2)

Ed Sheeran feat. Arijit Singh - Sapphire (2)

Mariah Carey - Type Dangerous (5)

Justin Bieber - Daisies (Debut)

Justin Bieber debuts with Daisies, which has grown on me a little since I first heard it.

Debuts:

AJR debuts with their first song since Yes I'm A Mess in 2023/2024. This reminds me too much of a song I hate, I'm Ready, for me to really enjoy it, but it doesn't have the annoying parts in here that I'm Ready has so it's overall good.

Justin Bieber makes his grand, or not so grand, return with Daisies. This grew on me slightly but I still can't really get into this. It's too slow and unlike the Justin Bieber I know and love for me to enjoy.

Blackpink also make their grand return with Jump. Again, I like this and it did grow on me but it still has some more growing on me to do before I can officially say I love it.

Finally for the song I didn't talk about last week. Olivia Dean debuts out of nowhere with Nice To Each Other. This is cute, I like this. It's kind of underwhelming but it's not terrible. I don't love it yet but I might soon. I'm not disappointed in this!
