And so we meet again. Hello everyone, How are y'all doing? I am looking for segments to add to this blog, and if you have any ideas, let me know in the comments. We have three debuts this week. Let's get through them:

Rob Thomas debuts with Hard To Be Happy. It's been a while since we've heard from him, and this is a pretty great song for him to return with. It's a summer song I wanted, and Rob sounds great as always. Let's see this do well!

Justin Bieber debuts with Daisies. This grew on me a lot compared to when I first heard this. It is slightly slow, but the production is very pretty and Justin sounds great as always. Again, I would love to see this do well on this countdown.

We must pause to say About Damn Time to our next debut: Wildflower by Billie Eilish. This went recurrent on Pop months ago, and it's not like this is a rap song or anything. For some reason, The Pulse isn't even late themselves. Hot AC's chart currently has Wildflower at #20 right now and it's rising from there. Okay, I guess they were too busy playing Shinedown for way too long to bother with this song. But anyways, I'm so glad they finally played this. This is one of my favorites from Hit Me Hard And Soft; It's absolutely beautiful, Billie sounds great, and the production is amazing. Take this to #1!

Now Playing

OneRepublic - Beautiful Colors (2)

Belle Tatum - Boyfriend (1)

Alex Warren - Eternity (1)

John K - Never Been In Love (1)

Maroon 5 - All Night (1)

We have four songs getting played for the first time! Let's start off with John K's new song Never Been In Love which is now playing after Honey left in early June, and didn't do that well. Never Been In Love is decent, but it's nothing special. Still, John K sounds good and the production is pretty good.

Maroon 5 is here with All Night after Priceless is expected to miss the top 30 of the year. They also didn't take long to play this as Priceless left on July 12th. I really liked this at first but it faded on me slightly since. I still like this much more than Priceless, but it's not AMAZING or anything...

One of my favorite artists right now, Alex Warren, is seeking to go back to having two songs on the countdown simultaneously, as Ordinary debuted and stalled in the top 5 never to reach #1 (I'll talk about this later). Later, On My Mind debuted, and today, Ordinary left, 3 weeks into On My Mind's run. So we'll see how long it takes Alex Warren to replace himself on the countdown, or if On My Mind will even last long enough to have two songs at the same time. For the song itself, This isn't my favorite off the album You'll Be Alright Kid, but I still enjoy it. I hope to see this debut and do well on the countdown.

Finally we have Hot AC plant artist Belle Tatum with a song called Boyfriend. This sounds like a diet Busy Woman, but I love Busy Woman so I love this too. I hope to see this debut and do well on both The Pulse Top 15 and Mediabase Hot AC.

Hard To Be Blurbing

We are gathered here today to mourn the departure of Ordinary by Alex Warren, which graced our countdown for 23 weeks, peaking at #2. You entered the chart at #14, and from there you only took 5 weeks to hit the top 6. For a moment, it seemed you might reach #1, but fate — and Brady’s button pressing — had other plans.

You leave behind a legacy of playing around in the top 6 the entire time once you got there, and multiple times you crept your way up to #2 before Brady made you fall down to #6. You would then climb up again, then Brady made you fall down to #4. Then a third time you tried to hit #1, but instead Brady forgot about you altogether and never let you see the chart of August 9th. May you rest peacefully in the great airwaves beyond, alongside other fallen hits like Sailor Song by Gigi Perez. And may your streams stay high, even if your spins have faded.

Farewell, dear Ordinary, you were gone too soon, but never forgotten.

I would also mourn A Lot More Free, but it's run wasn't quite as, ahem, extraordinary.

One song that I wouldn't mourn however, is Anxiety. My oh my how much that faded on me, and how I actually used to love that at one point.

I love how only song in the bottom 10 (6-15) moved (not counting debuts). That song being Man On The Moon.

However, the Top 5 had lots of movement, like Benson Boone vacating the #1 spot, and how he'll pave the way for the first new #1 song since May 31st.

Just like last week, we had two more songs make huge jumps, and this time they were even bigger jumps: Survive by Lewis Capaldi up 10 to #4 and Sapphire by Ed Sheeran up 12 to #3. Okay then lol.

Since Benson Boone didn't replace himself, we have Myles Smith making what I believe is his first #1 song. No, Stargazing somehow never made #1. Nice To Meet You is good, I used to like it much more and it has faded on me a bit but the Lainey Wilson remix gives some fresh air to it.

That's all for now, time to take my cat Moxie to a cat wrestling championship. Yep, she's currently 5th place in the Southern Arizona Felines Competition. Maybe I'll give her some tuna if she wins, we'll see. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
