Josie Edwards (11) - Daniel's Weekly Twenty - 17th September, 2025

 # Daniel's Weekly 20 - September 17th

This was an interesting week. Lots of new songs, but nothing in the countdown moved more than 3 spots. Josie Edwards' good girls spends an 11th week at #1, but has a new competitor, "new house", no pun intended. Tate McRae's signs rebound into the top 5, and Belle Tatum enters the top 10 for the first time. Speaking of Belle, she has our highest debut of the week with "Sort Of Seventeen" which is #15 this week. We also see new releases from Erin LeCount "808 HYMN" and 3Quency "Top Down" make their debuts. 3Quency makes their DW20 Debut, while Erin LeCount has her 3rd song on the chart. We'll see if 808 Hymn can go to #7 and last longer than 5 or 6 weeks...

This takes us to the more weird debuts. Cue the boos, but I've never heard any Laufey song in full until last Friday, when I heard Tough Luck on an iHeartRadio station of all things. I have since streamed it 186 times, so expect it to do well on here lol. Finally, Olivia Rodrigo hasn't appeared here at all in 2025, for obvious reasons. Chat GPT then tried to recommend me "logical" as part of a Mock Radio station i may or may not be making based off this chart. "Logical" really grew on me tonight and it's now #20, two years later. Onto the top 20!

  1. I'm assuming this is more like bubby's chart than like hfe94's chart, there's no actual eligibility requirement but it's just loosely newer stuff most of the time

    1. You're mostly right. I wouldn't put a song like drivers license back on the chart even if I really enjoy it, because it was a hit on the radio before. I try to follow radio chart rules the best I can; even Running Up That Hill wasn't a big hit in the US in the 1980s, same with Murder On The Dance Floor. That said, I have put older songs on my chart in the past, but I try to have a 5 year cutoff, and it has to have been a song that wouldn't be on my chart before. Blondes - Street Fight is from 2021 and Bloodline by Sam Tompkins is also from 2021. One last thing is that I sometimes have trouble finding what to do with the older songs; Logical could just be a one and done as it wouldn't make a lot of sense to make it a #1 hit, imo.

TL:DR If a song was not a radio hit, and is less than 5 years old and i never really liked it much beforehand, then It's eligible to be on my chart.
